Experience the Peaceful Side of the Smokies

Townsend is the perfect home base to enjoy all of the local attractions. Our little town has earned the reputation as the "Peaceful Side" of the Smokies as we are a small mountain community that offers quaint family businesses and restaurants. We are nestled against the Townsend entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the closest entrance to Cades Cove. It is an easy drive to many of the other attractions in our area, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, Dollywood, and over 900 miles of hiking trails in Smoky Mountain National Park.
